विवेकख्याति // Vivekakhyāti is the unwavering discriminative discernment, cultivated through the practice of the 8 auxiliaries of yoga; the ashtangas. These supports, when mastered, lead to this state of discernment which is integral to the goal of yoga, kaivalya; the isolation of consciousness.

Through Hatha yoga methods and scientifically evidenced understanding our intention is to provide a learning environment in which students increase their understanding of themselves, the function of their body and how best to optimise that so the state of yoga can truly be explored.

Through ardent effort and dedication, with precision and understanding, Yoga - is both the goal and the means.

Andrew williams

Andrew believes it prime to understand why we do what we do in a yoga setting; that each movement, each breath, each moment of stillness has a purpose and can teach us much about ourselves, about the interconnectedness of our body systems and senses, and importantly - by paying attention the sensations which arise during the practice we deepen that understanding. This done without attachment to aesthetic conventions.

The focus of his class is on the individual exploring the demands of the physical practice whilst working toward developing clarity of mind and health of the body.

Georgia Carter

Georgia brings a passion for inquiry and understanding supported by years of studying traditional lineages of yoga in India, such as ashtanga, Iyengar and Advaita Vedanta. Greatly influenced by the ancient texts her approach aims to offer students a space for experiential understanding of the philosophical teachings.

Her classes are likewise influenced by the eclectic nature of her own practice. Expect to seek out subtle details in sensation and alignment through precise instructions. Long held postures to improve stamina and to utilise props in various ways to increase understanding.
